Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM | Every other weekend required | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, patient-focused acute rehabilitation nursing care in a 52-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility
• Care for a diverse adult patient population (18+) including those recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, trauma, and neurological conditions
• Manage complex nursing needs including wound care, tracheostomy care, isolation precautions, and restraint protocols
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 while delivering individualized, goal-directed rehabilitation nursing interventions
• Document and manage patient care using the Cerner EHR system
• Support patients through an average 12-day inpatient stay, coordinating with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements for California)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a rehabilitation or inpatient setting
• Closed-toed shoes required; no acrylic or long nails per facility policy

• Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience caring for patients with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, or stroke
• Comfort with tracheostomy care, wound care, and isolation protocols

• Work in a state-of-the-art, 52-bed acute rehabilitation hospital offering all-private patient rooms and a specialized, mission-driven care environment
• Gain meaningful experience serving a complex adult patient population within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program
