The Artisans of New Global Luxury The Baccarat Hotel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Manager to join our prestigious team. As People Manager, you will support the strategy and execution of programs, systems, and procedures that attract, engage, and retain exceptional talent. You will partner with leaders and team members to foster a safe, fair, and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, motivated, and empowered to deliver exceptional service while upholding Baccarat’s standards and values. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily People Operations activities, including onboarding, orientation, offboarding, employee records management, and HRIS administration. Deliver a seamless onboarding experience that reflects the culture, values, and service standards of the brand. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with legal and company requirements. Support recruitment initiatives, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer administration, and hiring processes. Partner with department leaders to ensure staffing needs are aligned with operational demands. Serve as a trusted resource for team members and leaders on employee relations matters, providing guidance with professionalism and discretion. Support workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes while ensuring fairness, consistency, and proper documentation. Foster an open and respectful workplace culture where team members feel heard, valued, and supported. Assist in planning and executing team member engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and cultural events. Monitor engagement survey results and support the development of action plans to strengthen workplace culture and team satisfaction. Support the performance management cycle, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning. Coach leaders on effective feedback, performance management, and team development practices. Assist with succession planning, training coordination, and career development initiatives. Partner with Learning & Development to ensure training compliance and ongoing professional development. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, company policies, and the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. Support the administration and communication of People Operations policies, procedures, and handbook updates. Monitor compliance related to timekeeping, attendance, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and disability claims. Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and required documentation. Partner with Payroll to support the accurate processing of timecards, payroll changes, and approvals. Support benefits administration, including enrollments, union benefits, changes, and team member inquiries. Maintain People Operations systems, reports, and workforce data to support informed decision-making. Analyze People Operations data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Act as a strategic partner to department leaders, supporting alignment between team performance, service culture, and brand standards. Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across all People Operations practices. Model professionalism, empathy, and discretion in all interactions. Follow all company safety and security policies while maintaining a professional appearance and safeguarding confidential information. Uphold the brand’s vision, mission, and service culture while delivering on our promise of exceptional hospitality. Process new-hire transactions in Workday, including background checks, Form I-9 completion, employment eligibility verification, and employee data changes. Coordinate Workers’ Compensation claims and submit all required incident documentation. Process People Operations invoices and maintain professional communication with vendors and third-party administrators. Submit and track system-access requests and assist team members with Workday-related questions. Prepare employment verification letters, People Operations correspondence, and required reports. Monitor the People Operations inbox and provide timely support to team members and leaders Key Qualifications People Operations or Human Resources experience within a hotel or hospitality environment. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. Experience with Workday or another HRIS required. Experience supporting a unionized workforce preferred. Working knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, leave administration, workplace postings, documentation requirements, and People Operations best practices. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive and professional relationships while maintaining confidentiality. Demonstrated professionalism, confidence, energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive mindset. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in challenging or high-pressure situations. Quick learner with the ability to understand new systems, concepts, and processes efficiently. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and People Operations software systems. Positive and professional presence aligned with the standards of the Baccarat brand.
