Our venue boasts a full calendar of events including concerts, comedy shows, family shows, sporting events, banquets, conventions, trade shows, meetings, and more. With the attached Convention Center and Arena, we are the largest venue between Omaha and Fargo, and from Minneapolis to Denver.THE ROLEThe Marketing Manager oversees the implementation of a complete marketing campaign for the facility and events, including social media, advertising, and promotion.ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreates and supervises marketing plans for events when required, to include all available services: media placement, social media, promotional development, etc., in coordination with event promoters to maximize ticket sales and attendance.Develops marketing materials and procedures to function effectively as an in‑house agency.Maintains relationships with media representatives, civic and industry organizations, and corporate marketing contacts.Oversees the coordination of promotions and special events with event promoters and facility personnel.Remains current on national trends in the industry and local market changes to best serve the facility and events.Maintains high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance.Maintains a facility website, social media channels, and email subscriber newsletter.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field preferred2 years of related marketing experience requiredWorking knowledge of the principles of facility management and/or special events preferredSKILLS AND ABILITIESProficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Canva, basic video editing for the purposes of graphic editing and social content creation.Proficiency in social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn with experience in content creationAbility to prioritize tasks and to handle multiple tasks at a timeStrong creative backgroundExcellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skillsProfessional presentation, appearance, and work ethicStrong problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work event hours, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidaysRegular, reliable attendance is essential.COMPENSATIONCompetitive wage, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.WORKING CONDITIONSLocation: On Site – Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, SDPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
