Customer Service Representative

Hours: Monday Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm Pay: $19-20/hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering excellence in customer service and sales support by effectively communicating with current and prospective customers. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts including order processing, shipment scheduling, pricing, freight terms, and overall order accuracy
• Maintain customer compliance documents and customer portal information
• Communicate order status, lead times, stock information, and shipment updates to customers
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure on-time and complete delivery of customer orders
• Coordinate with internal and external Sales Representatives to maintain accounts and customer relationships
• Monitor reports and proactively identify and resolve potential order issues
• Investigate shipment discrepancies including shortages, damages, lost shipments, refusals, and mis-shipments
• Process return goods authorizations and maintain accurate return documentation
• Submit credit requests and review basic credit information when necessary
• Maintain active phone availability in accordance with company standards
• Provide basic troubleshooting support and service parts information when needed
• Assist with training and onboarding schedules for new hires
• Distribute sales analytics and customer information to appropriate teams
• Communicate professionally through phone, email, and fax correspondence
• Support additional Customer Care functions as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Some college coursework and/or leadership training preferred
• 12 years of customer service experience required
• Manufacturing or production environment experience required
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Positive attitude and professional communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, and Internet applications
• Familiarity with office equipment including multi-line phone systems, fax machines, copiers, and 10-key calculators
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with customers, sales teams, and internal departments
