Career Transition Specialist

Our Career Transition Specialists assist separating students to obtain employment, apprenticeships or advanced training; enlist in the military; enroll in college; and/or help with resources to housing, child care and transportation. At the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center, operated by Education and Training Resources (ETR), we have creative and caring staff who make a difference in the lives of our students each and every day.

MAIN DUTIES:
• Teach employability, resume, cover letter, interview and budgeting skills
• Attend panels and weekly meetings; take exiting students on shopping trips
• Conduct exit interviews; maintain contact with placed and not-placed students
• Work with spreadsheets, input placements and case note interactions
• Establish relationships with employers, colleges and other entities

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, generally working weekdays during regular business hours

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Social or Human Services, Education, Counseling or related field (or Associate's degree with two years of relevant experience); one year work experience in workforce development, marketing or placement; and valid Minnesota driver's license with acceptable driving record

PAY AND BENEFITS: $43,888 per year plus bonus and benefits, including 12 paid holidays, paid vacation and sick time, 401(k) with match, and medical, dental and vision insurance
