Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques to an average of 7 patients per day, maintaining an empathetic approach to enhance patient engagement.
• Utilize various rehabilitation tools and modalities as necessary, including resistance bands, weights, and electrical stimulation units to aid recovery.
• Provide clear, concise information to patients and their families regarding treatment goals, expected outcomes, and progress to foster understanding and support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations, using our designated electronic health record system.
• Stay current with the latest therapeutic techniques and best practices through continued education and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, and chronic illnesses who require focused rehabilitation to regain their independence. You will work closely with elderly patients, athletes, and individuals with varying physical capabilities. Understanding the unique needs and challenges of each patient greatly contributes to providing effective care.

Qualifications

• New York State Physical Therapist License is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
• Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a home care or outpatient setting.
• Proven ability to build strong rapport with patients and provide empathetic care.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
