Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and history interviews through video and telephone consultations, ensuring accurate documentation from initial consultations to treatment completion.

• Evaluate and diagnose clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, providing insights that directly shape their therapeutic journey.

• Formulate and tailor individualized treatment plans, including intervention strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups to address their unique needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions effectively, employing various therapeutic modalities to promote client engagement and healing.

• Utilize measurements and tools to monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with other mental health providers and healthcare professionals to coordinate interventions and share critical client information.

• Conduct necessary follow-up with psychiatrists and primary care providers for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventative measures to manage challenging behaviors within therapeutic contexts.

• Engage and support family members and caregivers, providing them with resources and strategies to assist clients in managing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients represent a diverse array of backgrounds and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology, from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, necessary for effective client interactions and documentation.

• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor or in a related clinical setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for managing patient data securely and efficiently.

• Experience with underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including dual diagnosis concerning addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Knowledge of pharmacology regarding psychotropic medications and their effects on clients.
