Knowledge Management Attorney

Overview Primarily focuses on knowledge management and practice innovation for the registered funds practice, with potential for selected client-facing legal work related to registered funds. Leads the development and execution of the registered funds knowledge management strategy in coordination with practice leadership and asset management teams. Builds, updates, and manages model documents, precedent collections, forms, checklists, practice notes, and training materials for registered funds matters. Monitors legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting registered funds and their advisers, translating them into timely updates for practice tools and workflows. Identifies knowledge needs, designs practical solutions, and supports lawyers in the responsible use of legal technology and artificial intelligence tools to improve service delivery, efficiency, and access to reliable information. Requires strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for registered investment companies and investment advisers, including fund formation, registration, disclosure, governance, compliance, board matters, regulatory filings, and ongoing fund operations. Demonstrates ability to draft, review, and maintain high-quality registered funds documents (e.g., registration statements, board materials, compliance policies, investor disclosure), track legal/market developments, and convert them into clear guidance and practice resources. Requires more than five years of relevant registered funds experience, preferably in a global or large law firm, with comparable in-house legal experience also considered. Demands strong project management skills, careful attention to detail, the ability to manage several knowledge initiatives concurrently, and an interest in innovation and continuous improvement to improve legal service delivery.
