Our Associate Resources team partners closely with restaurant leadership to build great teams, develop talent, foster positive workplace relationships, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. About the Role The Associate Resources Business Partner serves as a trusted resource and advisor to restaurant management by providing day-to-day Associate resources support across multiple restaurant locations. This position partners with operations to promote associate engagement, consistent leadership practices, legal compliance, and effective resolution of employee relations matters. Responsibilities Build strong working relationships with General Managers, Assistant General Managers, and restaurant leadership. Serve as the primary AR contact for assigned restaurant locations. Coach managers regarding performance management, attendance, documentation, corrective action, and employee relations. Conduct workplace investigations and prepare investigation summaries and recommendations. Assist with benefit, leave administration and the interactive process. Support recruiting, onboarding, and orientation. Develop and maintain a regular presence in assigned restaurants to build relationships with associates before issues arise, reinforcing an approachable and service-oriented Associate Resources function. Respond to associate questions regarding company policies, benefits, and employment practices. Facilitate AR training and support compliance initiatives. Maintain confidential AR records. Travel regularly between restaurant locations throughout Southern California. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience. Multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, retail, or other multi-location experience preferred. Experience supporting California employment law required. Experience conducting employee relations investigations required. PHR, SPHR, PHR-CA, or SPHR-CA certification preferred. Required Skills Strong knowledge of California employment law. Excellent employee relations, coaching, and investigation skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and time management. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ARIS systems.
