Direct Hire · Onsite, 5 days/week Degree or AA is a MUST - will be verified MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO PASADENA 5 days a week About the Role A week known pharma company with extremely high-growth is looking for a Benefits Manager to support over 1000 employees. This person would take full ownership of our benefits programs and serve as the subject matter expert for everything benefits-related. Not looking for HR candidates that have benefits experience - looking for true Benefits Managers. This role is built for someone who takes real pride in owning benefits end-to-end – someone who doesn't wait to be asked, builds structure where there isn't any, and genuinely enjoys being the person employees turn to. You'll have the autonomy to do the work your way, with a supportive leader who trusts her team. Key Responsibilities Manage all benefits programs end-to-end, including a fully funded insurance model Oversee open enrollment administration (August-September cycle) Manage benefits configuration and maintenance in ADP Workforce Now Lead weekly or bi-weekly new hire benefits orientations Handle vendor billing reviews, benefit reconciliations, and employee claims support Ensure benefits compliance and policy consistency across a multi-state workforce Build and maintain SOPs and process documentation Support vendor evaluations and broker/provider negotiations Manage equity benefits administration (nice-to-have; training available) Systems & Tools ADP Workforce Now – Primary HRIS (benefits module) Unum – Leave of absence management Fidelity – Retirement and benefits administration Bank of America Merrill Lynch – Equity plan administration Qualifications 7+ years of benefits administration experience at SME level Experience supporting employee populations of 800+ employees Proven ability to work autonomously and drive programs with minimal direction Strong process-building skills – you document, systematize, and improve High proficiency with HRIS platforms; ADP Workforce Now preferred Background in biotech, pharma, or publicly traded companies is a plus Equity plan administration experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement Bachelor's degree required What We Value Highly organized with strong attention to detail Process-oriented mindset – you build structure, not just follow it Strong initiative and ability to research and recommend improvements Collaborative team personality with excellent communication skills Comfortable handling benefits at scale in a high-growth environment Local candidates – no relocation – must be able to be onsite 5 days a week Direct hire: $145–165,000 DEGREE is a must Equal Opportunity Notice Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) and its parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries are committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, religion or creed, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, status as a veteran, union membership, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, or any other protected characteristics as required by applicable law.
