Work Environment

The physical therapist will be working primarily onsite in our orthopedic outpatient facility located in the heart of Woodbridge, VA. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of each patient's condition, developing customized treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance functionality.
• Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions tailored to orthopedic patients while monitoring their progress and modifying plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and family members about rehabilitation processes, pain management strategies, and preventative care measures.
• Supervise and provide mentorship to physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians, ensuring that they deliver appropriate care under your guidance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in alignment with regulatory and clinic standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings, contributing insights and strategies to promote continuous improvement within the clinic.
• Develop and implement community outreach programs that raise awareness about physical therapy services and injury prevention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, strengthen muscles, and improve overall function. With a patient volume of 1-2 patients per hour, you will have the opportunity to provide attentive, personalized care to each individual.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the state of Virginia, demonstrating compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Certification in CPR through the American Heart Association (AHA) as a Healthcare Provider.
• Proficiency in operating physical therapy equipment and conducting functional evaluations to assess patient needs effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills for establishing rapport with patients, family members, and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, showcasing a solid track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Experience with specific orthopedic diagnoses and treatment protocols, including postsurgical rehabilitation and sports injury management.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and patient management processes.

Compensation and Benefits

Haywards Physio-Treatment Clinic offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, complemented by an attractive benefits package.
