About the Role
The Company is seeking a Group General Counsel to lead the legal function for its government solutions division. The successful candidate will serve as the primary legal advisor, shaping the company's legal priorities, and providing guidance on a wide range of legal and compliance matters. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's work at sensitive federal sites, including those under the Department of Energy and National Nuclear Security Administration. The Group General Counsel will be responsible for government contracts, federal compliance, ethics, and investigations, as well as commercial contracting and transactions. They will also lead a small legal team and work closely with the company's corporate legal department. Applicants for the Group General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, an active license to practice law in the U.S., and 6 to 10 years of progressive legal experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal government contracting law, including the FAR and DFARS, and a proven track record in drafting and negotiating contracts. Experience in the federal government legal space, particularly with the Department of Energy or similar agencies, is highly preferred. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, the ability to manage legal risk, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
