Senior Technical Writer - On-site

Medtronic seeks a Senior Technical Writer for its Cranial and Spinal Technologies division to develop and maintain Instructions for Use and technical documentation for advanced imaging products. The role involves collaborating across engineering, regulatory, and marketing teams to create clear user documentation and manage global translation projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Instructions for Use, system manuals, quick reference guides, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, regulatory, and subject matter experts to gather technical content
- Manage document version control, archival, and release processes within Product Lifecycle Management systems
- Coordinate translation projects with external providers, including tracking and review
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance documentation quality and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years technical writing/editing experience, or Master's degree plus 2+ years
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker
- Experience with structured authoring, XML, and content management systems
- Advanced skills in Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, vector graphics, and HTML
- Experience creating technical documentation for global audiences
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at hire
