It's one way that makes us an actively engaged team, inspired to win together.SUMMARY Under the direction of the QA Supervisor, the Quality Auditor provides support to production and the Quality Management System (QMS) by performing inspection activities to product processed at each stage of operations, ensuring quality specifications adhere to prints/drawing, inspections sheets and travelers. This position will also monitor product identification, calibration and ensure products meet the expectations of the customer. The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:00am (Overtime worked based on business need). 2nd Shift will receive a $3.00/hour shift premium.WHAT YOU'LL DOProduct testing and inspection (visual, dimensional, pressure decay, vacuum decay, etc…)Cross checks of product at each stage of operations to prints/drawings, traveler, inspection sheets, Control Plan and Visual CriteriaIssue gauges to employees and ensure gauges are calibrated and properly identifiedCollection and data entry of inspection results and/or quality recordsMonitoring of gauge inventory and other quality suppliesIdentification and reporting of nonconforming product. Ensure product is inspected or tested according to the inspection protocol or planTraining of quality expectations to operations personnel when changes to the inspection process have been changedAssists with the plant wide communication of Quality Alerts or Quality concernsHas the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detectedAssists members of the Quality Department as needed and as time permitsOther duties as assignedWHAT YOU'LL NEEDHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.20/20 vision in at least one eye and must not be color blind required (Magnifying lenses (readers, cheaters, etc..) are allowed if the employee normally uses them to read)2-3 years of experience in a related Quality FunctionThe individual must have a solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes.The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detailMust be able to determine material types and gauges.Can read and interpret blueprintsMust be able to navigate in a Windows based computer environmentExperience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and WordExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist12 Expected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person – 100% Responsible, Trustworthy, Team Player, Clear Communicator, Empathy, Humility, Emotional Self-Control, Resolves Conflict Directly, Positive Attitude, Respects Others, Problem Solver, and Agile.BENEFITS In addition to excellent starting wages, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package as well as numerous perks.
