Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and needs upon intake to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic interventions using various techniques such as manual therapy, patient education, and exercise to facilitate recovery and improve mobility.
• Adapt treatment plans as patients progress, ensuring that therapeutic goals are met and redefining objectives when necessary.
• Document all treatments, patient responses, and progress in compliance with regulations and clinical best practices.
• Educate patients and their families about home care techniques, assistive devices, and therapeutic exercises to enhance recovery.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and participating in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients. Many clients require rehabilitation from various musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. Your approach will involve understanding unique patient histories and diagnosing their specific rehabilitation needs, which will help in crafting effective treatment strategies tailored to each individual.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficient with computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR), documentation software, and word processing applications.
• A flexible, adaptable approach to working in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred but not absolutely required. New graduates are also encouraged to apply, especially those seeking mentorship in their early career.

Compensation and Benefits
