Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, reviewing their medical history and performing necessary assessments to formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Effectively communicate evaluation results and treatment strategies to patients and their families, engaging them in the goal-setting process for recovery.

• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that are responsive to patient needs and current healthcare standards, regularly updating them in response to patient progress.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, consulting on patient conditions that require adjustments to their care plans or further medical intervention.

• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care with precise documentation that reflects the patient's treatment journey, including initial evaluations, treatment goals, and progress notes.

• Demonstrate effective time management by adhering to productivity standards and maintaining an accurate schedule for patient appointments.

• Contribute towards the achievement of departmental objectives and compliance with governmental regulations and accreditation standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• A state license in Physical Therapy specific to Virginia is mandatory.

• Current certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is required.

• While prior experience is not necessary, a strong desire to learn and demonstrate commitment to patient care is vital.

Preferred Experience
