Inside Sales Representative – Pipe Industry

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support sales operations, prepare quotes, and build strong customer and vendor relationships. Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, you will help customers identify the right products, coordinate pricing and availability, and support orders from initial inquiry through documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for current and prospective customers, assess their needs, and respond to product inquiries.
• Prepare accurate product quotes based on inventory availability.
• Coordinate with counterparts overseas on opportunities requiring products outside existing inventory.
• Gather pricing and sales terms for review with the Inside Sales Manager.
• Resolve customer concerns and coordinate timely solutions.
• Provide pricing and inventory updates to inside and outside sales teams.
• Coordinate accessory manufacturing, monitor inventory levels, and recommend replenishment timing.
• Maintain inventory records, including costs and material condition, and assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
• Prepare sales presentations, bid packages, and tender responses; maintain current templates and supporting documents.
• Track open inquiries, quotes, and orders, and prepare weekly activity reports.
• Provide monthly information to support profit estimates.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and raw material costs.
• Build and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
• Monitor accounts receivable, maintain customer credit files, and support credit applications and risk management procedures.
• Work with the Sales Coordinator to ensure accurate documentation is released on time and follows internal procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One to seven years of relevant experience preferred.
• Related industry experience, including knowledge of pipe products and pipe yard operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
