Director, Faculty Professional Integrity (School of Medicine - Office of Faculty)

The Office of Faculty is seeking a Director, Faculty Professional Integrity. The core values of Johns Hopkins Medicine include integrity, respect, and collegiality. The Office of Faculty is responsible for developing and implementing policies that promote faculty professionalism, responsible conduct, and accountability.The Director of Faculty Professional Integrity is a newly established position responsible for fostering a culture of professionalism, integrity, and accountability among faculty throughout the School of Medicine (SOM). Reporting to the Vice Dean for Faculty, the Director will support the development and implementation of policies, educational initiatives, and operational processes that promote professional conduct and strengthen institutional integrity. The Director will also oversee the institutional processes for reviewing allegations of faculty professional misconduct in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.The Director will work closely with the Director of Research Integrity and collaborate with School of Medicine leadership and institutional partners across Johns Hopkins.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesImplements policies addressing faculty professionalism, professional conduct, and misconduct, and develops associated procedures and standard operating procedures. Develops and continuously improves operational processes, including recordkeeping, tracking systems, and other tools to support effective management of professional integrity matters. Develops and delivers educational programs and training for faculty, department leaders, and administrators related to professionalism, responsible conduct, and institutional expectations. Serves as a resource to School of Medicine leadership regarding issues related to faculty professionalism, professional conduct, and the appropriate application of institutional policies. Collaborates with institutional partners to ensure policies and procedures remain current with applicable regulations and national best practices. Works closely with the Office of General Counsel, Human Resources, the Office of Institutional Equity, the Office of Research Integrity, and other institutional partners to promote a culture of professionalism and integrity. Oversees assessments, inquiries, and investigations of allegations of faculty professional misconduct in accordance with institutional policies and procedures. Coordinates inquiry and investigation committees and prepares objective, thorough reports summarizing allegations, evidence, interviews, findings, and recommendations. Ensures appropriate application of institutional policies, procedures, and relevant regulations throughout the review process. Maintains confidential records of professional integrity matters and prepares reports for School of Medicine leadership. Supports the School of Medicine Standing Committee on Discipline. Knowledge of professional integrity and/or research integrity regulations and standards.Minimum QualificationsMaster's Degree, Doctoral Degree, JD, or other advanced professional Degree in Science, Law, Business, Public Policy, Higher Education Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in faculty affairs, compliance, research integrity, legal affairs, human resources, academic administration, investigations, or a related field.Preferred QualificationsExperience in an academic medical center, healthcare organization, or research-intensive university.Experience conducting or supporting investigations involving faculty or professional conduct. Experience developing institutional policies, procedures, educational programs, or operational processes.Experience with mediation or conflict resolution.Familiarity with professional integrity and/or research integrity regulations and standards.Classified Title: Director Faculty Professional Integrity Role/Level/Range: ATP/04/PF Starting Salary Range: $87,635 - $153,545 Annually ($120,640 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
