HVAC Technician

Installs, operates and maintains all heating, ventilating, refrigeration and air conditioning systems and maintains medical air compressors to provide a safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff and visitors. Other responsibilities include general maintenance (minor electrical and plumbing, equipment maintenance and safety testing). Provides excellent customer service when working with patients, visitors and other staff members. Works under minimal supervision and mentors and coaches staff in technical areas. Job Requirements High School Diploma required Valid state driver's license required Current Refrigeration Journeyman license preferred Apprenticeship or technical degree in a facilities related field preferred Two years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, service and repair Hospital facilities or healthcare construction experience preferred Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English Basic computer skills Physical Requirements – Medium Work: Exert/lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, or up to 10 lbs constantly.
