Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Provide high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries in the Step-Down Unit. Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms to detect and respond to changes in condition. Medication Management: Administer medications, manage intravenous therapies, and adjust treatments based on patient needs and physician orders. Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Patient Education: Educate patients and families about recovery processes, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications for optimal cardiac health. Documentation: Accurately document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes to ensure comprehensive care and compliance with standards. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and critical changes in patient status, utilizing advanced cardiac life support techniques as needed. Qualifications: Active unencumbered RN license in Ohio or compact license. Previous experience in a cardiac or telemetry unit preferred. Strong assessment skills and ability to manage complex cardiac conditions. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
