Location: Fayetteville, GA | Full-Time | On-Site | Contract-to-Hire

Rate: $17 - $20 / Hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support a busy accounting department within a well-known, mission-driven non-profit organization. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term potential. The role is primarily focused on accounts payable operations and supports a high-volume transactional environment with exposure to corporate, event, and operational accounting activity. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, eager to learn, and brings a customer service mindset to everything they do.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and on time, verifying coding and supporting documentation
• Upload invoices into the expense management system and support payment processing through the accounting ERP
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor and internal payment inquiries
• Support employee expense reimbursements
• Assist with reconciliations and other accounting projects as needed
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and documentation requirements throughout all AP activity

Volume & Environment

This is a high-volume role. Daily transaction volume can include approximately:

• 200 corporate card transactions
• 100 employee expense reimbursements
• 30+ vendor invoices

The team values accuracy and consistency over speed, particularly during the onboarding period.

Qualifications

Required

• 1+ years of accounts payable or accounting clerk experience
• Experience processing invoices in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic Excel proficiency
• Comfortable learning new accounting systems and processes
• Reliable with the ability to commit to a fully on-site schedule five days per week
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a team-player mentality

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Experience with Sage Intacct or a comparable ERP
• Familiarity with expense management platforms
• Non-profit or events-based industry experience
• Exposure to employee expense reimbursement processing

Compensation

$17/hour - $20/hour
