Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group on the Med/Surg unit according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Collect relevant data, assess needs, develop and implement a care plan, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Collaborate with the health care team, coordinate care with other disciplines, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegate appropriately and ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Provide education and discharge information to patients and families; promote health and a safe environment.
- Maintain professional standards, participate in quality and safety improvements, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Licenses and certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience; acute care facility experience preferred.
- Other: Ability to work in a hospital setting; day shift with weekend rotation; able to meet unit-specific requirements and policies.
