Work Environment

The selected Physician Assistant will work onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center, ensuring direct interaction with patients in a vibrant outpatient setting. Operating from Monday to Friday, starting at 5:00 PM, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that prioritizes patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories to assess medical conditions effectively.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies (e.g., X-rays), to inform treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of health issues, particularly focusing on pain management and rehabilitation, offering tailored treatment options.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Inform patients about their health statuses, prescribed medications, and potential side effects, ensuring they understand their treatment plan fully.
• Educate patients and their families on preventative measures, lifestyle modifications, and health management strategies to promote wellness.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to organizational policies and legal regulations to ensure a high standard of care.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare staff, including physicians and specialists, to deliver comprehensive patient care and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Engage in continuous professional development, participating in research and training initiatives to expand clinical knowledge and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies, with a Master’s degree preferred.
• A current and valid New Jersey State Physician Assistant License.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
• A valid DEA registration number to prescribe medications.
• Strong understanding of primary care principles, patient care protocols, and medical regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient relationships and teamwork.
• Proven ability to maintain professionalism and ethical standards in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, or rehabilitation medicine is highly desirable.
• Experience working within a primary care or urgent care environment, demonstrating competency in managing diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
