Lower Division Grade 2 Instructional Assistant

Position: Lower Division Grade 2 Instructional Assistant Location: Tampa, FL Job Id: 285 # of Openings: 1 Lower Division Grade 2 Instructional Assistant: Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Grade 2 Instructional Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The Grade 2 Instructional Assistant will work collaboratively with a master teacher to plan the instructional program and co‑teach lessons to whole and small groups that are both age‑appropriate and address individual student needs. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience and/or training working in an elementary classroom. A good sense of humor, a positive outlook, and an appreciation of the unique qualities of the age group are essential. Candidates must show a strong willingness to receive feedback regularly, grow professionally, significantly contribute to the life of the school, and will be eager to work in a culturally and ethnically diverse environment. Compensation and Benefits: The appointment will begin August 2026 and is a full‑time position with full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and the national independent school and college markets.
