Assignment Details Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Requirements License: Valid state license required; compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: BLS Years of experience: At least 2 years, with a minimum of 1 year of travel RN experience required EMR: Epic Unit-specific skills: PICC: consults, placement (day only), removal, tip confirmation (CXR, IC-ECG, TCS, ultrasound) Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertion Central line care: dressing changes, blood draws, CLABSI prevention, device stabilization Phlebotomy, site selection/assessment, patient education Recognition/management: pneumothorax, embolism, hematoma, sepsis, extravasation
Roles & Responsibilities Provide expert nursing care in vascular and PICC placements. Conduct consultations and assess patients' needs related to IV therapy. Perform ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertions and central line care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on IV therapy and related procedures. Monitor patients for potential complications and manage as needed.
Compliance / Notes Orientation: 24 hours Background checks: Facility does not accept Nursys or background hits Local radius rule: 50 miles Return staff policy: Can return after 3 months Holiday commitment: Must commit to working 3 of the following holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
