Controller Consultant

Vaco is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team as a Consultant. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in providing financial leadership, strategic guidance, and operational leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services.


Location: Phoenix, AZ (hybrid)
Pay Rate: $60 - $75 per hour (depending on experience)
Project Length: Approx. 3 - 6 months

Responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team and oversee day-to-day operations

• Collaborate with executive leadership on financial planning and decision-making

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards

• Identify and mitigate financial risks through ongoing analysis

• Ad hoc projects as requested from leadership

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar financial leadership role

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations and reporting requirements

• Strong skillset in Excel and other ERP software

• Commitment to duration and needs of project
