Accounting Manager

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANTLead month end, quarter end, and year end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation. Manage general ledger operations while ensuring compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls. Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide reporting and recommendations to executive leadership. Support inventory accounting, inventory controls, and financial reporting within a manufacturing and distribution environment. Oversee sales tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and preparation of audit schedules supporting internal and external audits. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning initiatives. Evaluate complex accounting transactions and determine appropriate GAAP treatment while supporting private equity reporting requirements. Drive process improvements, strengthen accounting controls, and support future acquisitions and business integrations. THE BACKGROUND THAT FITSBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 6 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a combination of both. Experience managing the full month end close process, including financial statement preparation and general ledger management. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, accruals, and internal controls. Public accounting experience with transition into private industry preferred. CPA certification is a plus. Manufacturing and distribution industry experience preferred, including inventory accounting and cost accounting exposure. Experience supporting multi entity organizations, acquisitions, consolidations, or private equity environments is highly desirable. NetSuite experience is strongly preferred along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, influence business decisions, and build relationships across the organization.Reference: 69726
