Accounting Manager

Carolina PRG has partnered with a growing, multi-entity organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations and support continued growth. This role serves as a hands‑on accounting leader responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, process improvement, and team development. The Accounting Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day accounting function, ensure the integrity of financial information, and provide meaningful analysis and insights to executive leadership. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Oversee daily departmental workflows and ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities. Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development and succession planning. Recruit, train, mentor, and retain high‑performing accounting professionals. Address performance concerns and administer corrective actions in accordance with company policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, direct, and oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and month‑end close activities. Manage the collection, review, and consolidation of financial data to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Partner with external auditors and coordinate annual audits Develop financial dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and analytical reporting to support executive decision‑making. Provide meaningful analysis and recommendations based on financial and operational performance. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and long‑range financial planning. Evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy. Assess and strengthen internal controls and ensure appropriate segregation of duties. Develop and monitor business performance metrics and identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Oversee tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and other statutory requirements. Support inventory management processes and implement effective inventory controls, as applicable. Participate in ERP implementations, system enhancements, and other cross‑functional initiatives. Lead or support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred. Minimum of four to six years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Minimum of two years of public accounting experience required; experience with a national or regional public accounting firm preferred. Prior supervisory or management experience required. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience managing multi‑entity accounting environments is preferred. Experience in construction, manufacturing, distribution, or other project‑based industries is a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
