Head of Sales
Electrical Distribution | Power Distribution Equipment | Secondary Breaker Market
Houston, TX | Hybrid Schedule (3 Days On-site / 2 Days Remote)
We're seeking a hands-on commercial & industrial Sales leader to oversee 10-15 Inside/Outside Sales teams, supporting two established electrical distribution businesses specializing in the secondary market for circuit breakers, switchgear, and power distribution equipment.
This is not a traditional corporate sales leadership role. You'll lead teams while partnering closely with executive leadership to strengthen commercial execution, develop talent, improve forecasting, and drive profitable growth across a business known for solving complex sourcing challenges for commercial, industrial, utility, data center, healthcare, manufacturing, and renewable energy customers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where decisions are made quickly, leaders stay close to the business, and continuous improvement is part of the culture.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, coach, and develop Inside and Outside Sales teams across multiple business units.
- Improve sales workflows, forecasting, pipeline management, KPIs, and commercial sales processes.
- Partner closely with Purchasing, Operations, Customer Service, and executive leadership to improve execution and customer experience.
- Support strategic customer relationships and assist with complex sales opportunities.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop future sales leaders within the organization.
- Champion practical AI and technology solutions that improve productivity, customer engagement, and commercial effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Ideal Background:
We're looking for commercial/industrial sales leaders with experience in B2B sales organizations such as:
- Electrical Distribution
- Switchgear & Power Distribution Equipment
- Circuit Breakers & Electrical Components
- Electrical Manufacturers or Manufacturer Representatives
- Industrial Distribution
- Utility or Infrastructure Products
- Industrial Automation or Engineered Electrical Products
Experience leading both Inside and Outside Sales teams is strongly preferred, along with a track record of coaching people, improving commercial processes, and building high-performing teams.
