Exciting opportunities are available for skilled occupational therapists with a passion for supporting elementary school students. This contract position is based near Aurora, IL and extends through the full school year, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work alongside dedicated professionals in a dynamic educational environment, focusing your expertise on a caseload comprised exclusively of elementary-aged children.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active state of Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in pediatric or school settings
- Strong background in sensory integration techniques
- Experience setting and tracking progress on student goals
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based therapy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students, adapting interventions to individual needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student learning and engagement
- Develop individualized treatment plans and update progress notes in accordance with established protocols
- Participate in IEP meetings, offer input on student progress, and help set realistic goals
- Support general classroom success by consulting on sensory strategies and accommodations
