Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, proposing diagnostic measures, and designing personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently (subject to credentialing)
• Instructing patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and chronic condition management
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice authority
• Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care programs

• Accurately and comprehensively documenting within electronic medical record systems

Educational Prerequisites

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or a commitment to obtain within 90 days)
