Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services for a school setting in Laurel, MD. This full-time role requires providing virtual speech therapy services within the Eastern Standard Time zone, catering to various age groups from elementary through middle school. Assignments and caseloads will be tailored according to experience and geographic location, with maximum caseloads ranging from 40 students (elementary) to 57 at peak periods.
Responsibilities include delivering remote speech-language pathology interventions aligned with school-based goals and collaborating with supervisors to ensure effective service delivery. This role demands 35 hours per week during the school year, from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027.
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with an active Maryland license
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Minimum 3 years of virtual school-based experience post-COVID, with at least 2 years within the past 5 years
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively in a teletherapy environment
- Ability to adapt therapy services to diverse student needs across elementary and middle school age groups
- Compliance with Maryland state background check requirements
Preferred candidate attributes include demonstrated flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to providing quality telepractice services. Necessary documentation such as credential images, license verification, and references must be submitted prior to placement.
