Billing Assistant

Role Description The Billing Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Woodbridge, VA, supporting the firm’s billing and invoicing activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and processing client invoices, reviewing billing entries for accuracy, and coordinating with attorneys and staff to resolve billing questions. The role also involves updating and maintaining billing records, assisting with payment tracking, and generating basic financial or billing reports. The Billing Assistant will communicate with clients regarding billing matters, follow up on outstanding payments in a professional manner, and contribute to improving billing processes and procedures. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Billing Process and Invoicing to manage client bills accurately and efficiently. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact professionally with attorneys, staff, and clients about billing matters. Candidates should possess foundational Accounting and Finance skills to support accurate record-keeping and payment tracking. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Candidates should be proficient with common office software and billing or practice management systems; prior experience in a legal or professional services environment is beneficial.
