Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy sessions in our outpatient office to address specific behavioral issues and promote positive outcomes for clients.

• Implement evidence-based strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, through targeted interventions that include anger management and social skills training.
\n
• Support caregivers in making informed decisions that positively influence their children’s behavior at home, thereby improving family dynamics and overall well-being.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team and external specialists, ensuring coordinated care and consistent support for the families served.
\n
• Complete all necessary documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within the specified timelines to maintain compliance and facilitate continuity of care.

• Participate actively in regular team meetings to share insights, progress updates, and recommendations for treatment improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role directly impacts children aged 3-20 who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, emotional disturbances, and behavior challenges. Your work will support not only the children but also their families by equipping them with the skills needed to navigate daily challenges and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
\n
• Active and unrestricted LMFT license is required.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend availability considered a plus.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and accessible, registered vehicle for in-home sessions.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.

• Experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
