Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support school-based speech therapy services for students in the Fort Myers, Florida area. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assist with therapy implementation, student support, and documentation within a collaborative educational environment.

Minimum Requirements

•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field from an accredited institution
•Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license or registration as required by the state
•Completion of supervised clinical fieldwork requirements
•Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
•Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

•Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist with implementing speech and language therapy plans
•Provide direct support services to students during individual and group therapy sessions
•Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records
•Support classroom carryover activities and communication goals
•Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student success
