The Opportunity

HSBC Innovation Banking supports venture capital-backed Technology and Healthcare businesses and investors across the full lifecycle from pre-Series A to post IPO. This role sits within Global Payments Solutions (GPS) and focuses on helping innovation economy clients improve how they move, manage and access cash through cash and clearing management solutions. You’ll act as a GPS specialist across priority client opportunities and work across Technology, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Fund Banking and Global Network Banking. The remit includes potential coverage of US subsidiaries of overseas headquartered innovation economy clients. Success means building trusted client relationships, delivering strong income outcomes for the Group and ensuring an excellent end-to-end client experience from solutioning through implementation. You’ll also help keep a high-quality GPS pipeline and contribute to a culture that puts fair customer outcomes at the heart of day-to-day decisions.

What you'll be doing

• Act as a GPS specialist, applying knowledge of the innovation ecosystem plus cash management and clearing solutions
• Own sales activity on key client opportunities and deals across Technology, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Fund Banking and Global Network Banking
• Build income by identifying client needs and delivering innovative cash and clearing management solutions within Innovation Banking
• Deepen existing client relationships through continued servicing and by responding to evolving customer needs
• Maintain an accurate and current GPS pipeline, ensuring opportunities and progress are clearly captured
• Build close client relationships by acting on direct feedback, market surveys and client engagement programs
• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver a positive client experience including strong service and smooth implementation
• Represent HSBC through conferences, industry sector days, road shows and participation in relevant industry associations

• Bring strong knowledge of the innovation ecosystem plus regional cash management and clearing services, products and techniques
• Demonstrate relevant experience across the venture and innovation economy
• Show a proven sales record, converting opportunities into sustainable income outcomes
• Apply experience identifying customer needs and matching them to a broad range of products and services
• Deliver creative and flexible customer solutions aligned to client priorities and risk standards
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to progress opportunities and deliver outcomes
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally including delivering compelling presentations to clients and partners
• Manage time, planning and organization effectively across a varied portfolio of priorities

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
