Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, both in-home and remotely, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Implement strategies for anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills development for children and their families.
\n
• Address high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, through tailored therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each child and family.
\n
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within the designated time frames.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing insights and recommendations to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving children aged 3-20 and their families, many of whom face developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. As a therapist, you will engage with a diverse cross-section of youth, providing them with critical support to navigate their unique needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is essential.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours from 4-7 PM, is mandatory, with additional weekend flexibility preferred.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for potential client visits is required.

• A successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is necessary.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing positive behavior support to children with varying challenges.

• Direct experience working with youth aged 3-20, specifically those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
