Immigration Paralegal

Portner & Shure, P.A. is a nationally recognized law firm providing an array of legal services throughout Maryland and Virginia. Our Immigration Department is growing and currently seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to immediately join our Silver Spring Maryland office location. Responsibilities Prepare immigration cases as assigned by department manager for submission to the appropriate government agency; begin to achieve a mastery of case types from simple to complex filings. Work with attorneys in the preparation, filing, and monitoring of various immigration cases. Understand the procedures and documentation required for cases to be filed successfully and following Portner & Shure service standards. Work with clients to gather the necessary information and documentation in a timely manner. Prepare forms according to information received from clients. Handle a high caseload and work within strict timelines. Monitor the status of filed applications and petitions. Proactively communicate with clients to answer questions and provide status updates. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Requirements Bilingual in English and Spanish Required 1-3 years immigration law experience Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and customer service Experience using Microsoft Office Job Type Full-time (Monday through Friday) #J-18808-Ljbffr
