Retain is a cloud platform that provides companies with a 360 degree view of the cost to service and support their customers. By integrating with the applications teams already use, Retain connects millions of data points across dozens of systems to seamlessly create a detailed picture of the ‘cost-to-serve’ an individual customer. This data allows companies to optimize (i) pricing & profitability, (ii) resource allocation, (iii) customer segmentation and more across their entire customer base. Steve Anderson (first investor in Instagram, SoFi, PagerDuty, ExactTarget, Heroku, StitchFix and 40+ more profitable exits) of Baseline Ventures recently led our Series Seed funding, bringing total funding raised to date to $4.5M. Our team is led by experienced founders from LiveRamp ($4B market cap NYSE: RAMP) and made up of talented people from world class technology companies and top schools (Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Waterloo). Since the beginning of 2018, we’ve had fantastic customer traction (currently signing more than one customer per week) and now we’re looking to accelerate our customer growth with the addition of a new Sales Development Representative. It’s an incredible role for someone who wants to take on a lot of ownership, experience massive personal growth every month, and work with talented, collaborative, and friendly people who love what they do. Job Description Responsibilities: Generate and close new business opportunities to fuel the Retain customer pipeline. Work closely with the Head of Business Development to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business. Prospect into cold accounts and warm leads at some of the largest SaaS and professional services companies. Conduct high level conversations with Senior Executives in target accounts. Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas of qualified opportunities. Qualifications What We’re Looking For: People not afraid to take a risk and are comfortable with the ambiguity of a startup environment. Individuals who are excited about SaaS, big data, and artificial intelligence. Self-starters with track records of success in their professional and personal or collegiate lives. Someone who acquires more skills and takes on more responsibility as the company’s growth accelerates. Demonstrated ability to receive and incorporate feedback. Requirements: 2 - 5 years of work experience in a fast-paced environment (SDR and/or AE experience preferred). Ability to understand customer requirements and identify potential Retain solutions to fulfill requirements. Excellent customer-facing skills. Naturally articulate and excellent written communication. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Ability to constantly learn and solve new challenges that come your way. Easy to get along with, nice, fun, smart, ethical, and low-maintenance. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Additional Information Employee Benefits: Own equity in the company.
