Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive, strength-based assessments for new clients, ensuring cultural sensitivity and relevance throughout the evaluation process.

• Delivering individualized and family therapy services, tailored to the specific needs and backgrounds of clients to promote effective healing.

• Maintaining documentation including treatment plans, insurance authorizations, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with established timelines and standards.

• Developing crisis intervention plans, safety protocols, relapse prevention strategies, and personalized wellness plans to support stability in client functioning.

• Creating discharge plans in collaboration with clients to ensure a smooth transition out of therapeutic services when appropriate.

• Adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies, to maintain the highest standards of care.

• Engaging in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in the mental health field.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and collaborative discussions to share insights and best practices with colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your expertise will serve a diverse clientele in Columbus, Georgia, encompassing individuals and families grappling with various mental health challenges. You will work with clients from different backgrounds, providing the necessary tools and support to foster resilience and empower self-management of their mental health issues.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field, leading to licensure.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Georgia.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience in teletherapy or remote counseling environments will be favored. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth technology will greatly enhance efficiency and patient engagement.
