JUNIOR ESTIMATOR – FREEPORT, NY | CONSTRUCTION
\n \nA leading, well-established General Contractor based in Freeport, NY is looking to add a Junior Estimator to its growing team.
\n \nThis is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional looking to build a long-term career in estimating and preconstruction with an established GC and a strong reputation across the New York market.
\n \nThe Opportunity
\n \nThe successful candidate will work alongside experienced estimators and project teams, gaining exposure to the full estimating process, including:
\n- \n
- Reviewing plans, specifications and bid documents \n
- Performing quantity takeoffs and preparing estimates \n
- Soliciting and reviewing subcontractor/vendor pricing \n
- Assisting with bid preparation and proposal submissions \n
- Supporting value engineering and cost analysis \n
- Reviewing scopes of work and identifying potential risks \n
- Assisting with change order pricing and project cost analysis \n
- Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and subcontractors \n
- Developing strong knowledge of construction costs, materials and means & methods \n

\n \nHeavy Civil experience would be a strong bonus, but is NOT essential.
\nCandidates with experience in areas such as:

- General Construction \n
- Heavy Civil \n
- Plumbing \n
- Mechanical \n
- MEP \n
You may currently be working as a Junior Estimator, Assistant Estimator, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Assistant PM, or similar, or be looking to make the move from the field into estimating.
