Office Support Specialist
The Office Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations through efficient order entry, data management, and administrative support. The primary focus is on order entry, along with data entry into Epicor ERP, generating shipping documentation, and maintaining purchase orders. This position also involves vendor follow-up, pricing confirmation, matching purchase orders with packing slips, invoicing customers, and assisting with collections on delinquent accounts. General office support and administrative responsibilities are also included.
Responsibilities
- Enter orders with precision as a top priority.
- Input data into Epicor ERP system.
- Generate bills of lading and shipping documentation.
- Create and maintain purchase orders.
- Follow up with vendors and confirm pricing.
- Match purchase orders with packing slips.
- Invoice customers accurately.
- Assist with collection efforts on delinquent accounts.
- Provide general office support and administrative assistance.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience in office support, data entry, order entry, purchasing support, or related fields.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
- Experience working within ERP systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with job shop environments.
- Proficiency in Epicor ERP.
- Knowledge of Infor ERP.
- Experience in purchasing support.
- Exposure to accounts receivable and invoicing processes.
Work Environment
The work location is in person at 880 West Thorndale Ave, Itasca, IL. The typical hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The company is a custom manufacturing/job shop environment, currently undergoing an ownership transition. It is transitioning from Epicor ERP to Infor ERP in the coming months.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
