Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing therapists the flexibility to work from the comfort of their own homes. You will be part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, all united by a shared goal to enhance the well-being of our clients. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours required to accommodate client appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each client’s mental health and substance use issues, focusing on the presence of co-occurring disorders.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate customized, evidence-based interventions targeting both mental health and substance use disorders.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions aimed at equipping clients with essential coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and techniques for emotional regulation.

• Facilitate coordination of care with various specialists on the team to ensure an integrated approach to treatment, enhancing the recovery process for our clients.

• Regularly monitor clients’ progress concerning substance use and apply motivational interviewing methods to foster engagement and commitment to recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the value of adhering to treatment protocols.

• Document treatment interventions, progress, and referrals meticulously, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines to maintain high standards of practice.

• Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training opportunities to stay updated with best practices in co-occurring disorder treatment.

You will be directly involved with a diverse clientele who face both mental health and substance use challenges. Many of our clients are navigating complex life situations and require compassionate, knowledgeable support to break the cycle of addiction while addressing underlying mental health issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of Florida is mandatory.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment strategies specific to co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders and their implications for treatment.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a clinical setting specializing in mental health and substance use treatment.

• Experience with telehealth service delivery is preferred, demonstrating capability in providing care remotely.

Compensation and Benefits\n
