POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Specialist


FLSA: Non-Exempt


REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director


Qualifications:

• Bachelors preferred.
• Must have 3 years of experience with strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills,
• Must be proficient in working with various technologies to develop and maintain forms and data.

General Responsibilities:

• The Human Resources Specialist will maintain, implement and administer the human resources online management system.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Manage and ensure the functionality of the human resources online management system
• Train staff and administrators on the human resources online management system
• Manage data and prepare reports for state, federal and local submissions
• Approve certification for certificated staff on the Missouri Educators System
• Approve jobs opportunities and post on internet and recruitment sites
• Process background checks
• Assign and process onboarding/offboarding forms
• Create and maintain work records
• Submit and approve background checks and I-9 documentation for employment
• Issue and monitor contracts/memorandums
• Maintain the Human Resource department website
• Assist prospective candidates with applications
• Provide customer service for the Human Resource Department
• Act as custodian of archived personnel files
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Requirements


The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and movement around the instructional area.
