Unit Staffing Description:
- Unit Secretary and Nurse Externs per diem
Type of Equipment:
- Baxter Pumps
- Medfusion Pumps
- Medtronic Vital Sync Remote Surveillance System
Documentation System:
Meditech
Scheduling Requirements:
- Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend
- Shift work Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday
Floating Policy:
Traveler will float to step-down patients
Patient Experience Requirements:
- 1-3 years preferred
Skill Set Required:
- Clinical Skills: Head-Toe Assessment
- IV placement
- Medication administration
- Respiratory support
- Nasogastric/gastric tube feeding
- Lab collection
- Use of oxygen therapy devices
Advanced Skills Needed:
- Chest Tube Maintenance
Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Blood Transfusion Administration
- Nasogastric Tube Placement
- IV Placement
Dress Code:
Navy Blue Scrubs (pediatric scrub top friendly allowed)
