Maintenance Manager

Position: Maintenance Manager Location: Gilman, WI Job Id: 268 # of Openings: 1 Gilman Cheese is seeking a maintenance manager to direct all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance to support manufacturing operations and ensure the facility, machinery, and tools operate efficiently and safely. Duties/Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and improve Preventative Maintenance Program for Gilman Cheese Corporation. Hire, train, manage, and coach maintenance technicians on first and second shift. Oversee and manage workload for maintenance employees. Direct and coordinate operational activities of maintenance technicians engaged in maintaining and repairing machinery and building structures, and grounds maintenance. Install, test, maintain, and repair machinery and computer controlled mechanical systems as needed. Track project and repair costs and order parts. Partner with operations, quality, safety, and HR department leaders to ensure plant is operating safely and meeting productivity targets. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of building, all equipment, and machines. Diagnose and solve equipment problems and contact appropriate vendors if unable to repair in-house. Maintain/clean maintenance shop and tools used in repairing production equipment. Required Skills/Abilities: Basic math, English (oral and written), and computer skills are required. Mechanically inclined mindset and strong problem-solving skills are required. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills are required. Education and Experience : Electromechanical technician degree and a minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing maintenance work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience leading or managing a team is preferred. Physical Requirements : Mostly medium work (frequently lifting 20 lbs.), seldom medium heavy and heavy work (lifting and carrying 40-100lbs). The position involves continuous standing and walking, occasionally sitting and bending, seldom crouching, kneeling, and climbing. The Maintenance Manager normally works 4-5 ten-hour shifts, with hours depending on production needs. Why work at Gilman Cheese? Compensation and Benefits Full-time employees are eligible for: Pay rates ranging from $18.25 to $25.25 per hour depending on position. Many premium positions are available! $1,000 retention bonus paid after 6 months of employment. Eight (8) paid holidays and two (2) floating holidays per year; employees are eligible for holiday pay on the first day of employment. Health, dental, and vision coverage as well as company-paid life insurance beginning on the 1st day of the month after 60 days of employment.
