Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Pharmacist to oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure safe and effective medication management, and provide exceptional patient care. The Senior Pharmacist will play a leadership role in supervising pharmacy staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and optimizing pharmacy workflows while supporting high standards of clinical practice. This business is a new, licensed Pharmacy and the Supervising Pharmacist will be a part of the opening by being a license holder in the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Provide medication counseling and clinical guidance to patients regarding proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions
• Supervise and support pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards
• Maintain accurate patient medication records and ensure proper documentation
• Monitor for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans
• Oversee inventory management, medication ordering, and proper storage of pharmaceuticals
• Ensure controlled substances are managed according to DEA and state requirements
• Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance development
• Support implementation of new pharmacy systems, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy school
• Active and unrestricted New York State Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 5+ years of pharmacist experience, preferably in retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy settings
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a supervisory or senior pharmacist role
• Experience with electronic pharmacy management systems and electronic health records
• Board certification or advanced clinical training (preferred but not required)
