Hospice Intake Coordinator/Medical Front Office 

Central Coast Home Health and Hospice is a fast-growing and locally owned organization with an excellent reputation throughout the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. We are constantly growing and now seeking an  Intake Coordinator  to join our Hospice Intake team in the San Luis Obispo office.  Not remote.  

This position will be cross trained to complete various tasks throughout the department and responsibilities will vary day-to-day. Responsibilities include coordinate and schedule all team member care/visits, answer multiple phone lines for a variety of disciplines with accuracy and efficiency, answer questions and assist patients to ensure patient care is planned, coordinated and delivered appropriately with the ability to stay on task and re-prioritize workload as needed.

Work Schedule: Full-time hours, Monday – Friday 8:00-5:00 (SLO Office) with weekend rotation.

Qualifications:

• Must have previous work experience in a busy office environment
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook and Word) and the ability to type at least 40 wpm
