• Experience: Minimum 2 years ER/ED experience required; first-time travelers need 2 years of prior perm staff RN experience in acute care

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality emergency care across all acuity levels including trauma, cardiac, neuro, and medical patients
• Manage ventilators, critical care drips, and cardiac rhythms
• Assist with obtaining patient history, assessments, and documenting care in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Support stabilization and treatment of STEMI, NSTEMI, stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, and other critical conditions
• Collaborate with hospitalists, ED physicians, and in-house specialists to ensure patient safety
• Follow protocols for patient safety, discharge, and documentation
• Participate in unit orientation and uphold hospital policies and professional standards

What You Need
Required:

• Current RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain
• 2+ years ER/ED experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Excellent knowledge of emergency nursing procedures and protocols

Preferred:

• Experience with ventilator management and critical care
• Trauma experience and familiarity with neuro, cardiac, and orthopedic care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and demonstrate professionalism
