Production Supervisor

Prepared Foods Division Production Supervisor Tyson Foods invites applications for a Production Supervisor in the Prepared Foods Division. The role focuses on maintaining high production levels, ensuring product quality and yield, and upholding a safe working environment. The supervisor will manage line staffing, oversee equipment operation, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities You’ll build the best team possible, including hiring, training, retaining, and counseling staff on personal issues and company policies. You’ll guide the team in stretches before their shift and rotate workstations throughout the shift. Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation of inventory, and proper product coding. Ensure all line workstations are staffed before production start‑up. Confirm all machinery is performing and all workstations have passed USDA inspection. Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings. Oversee processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems. Provide continuous education on quality importance. Perform additional duties as needed. Requirements Education: High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred. Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment; prior supervisory experience required. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills; strong work ethic; ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment. Travel: Some travel required to other facilities or corporate sites. Background Check: Certain roles require a background check prior to offer.
